Review

The Victoria Falls River and Island Lodge, the first luxury tented lodge to be built in the Zambezi National Park, offers an instant immersion into a safari experience, as well as easy access to Victoria Falls and all of the adventure activities in the area. Guests reach the lodge by boat, where they are met by a soaring pavilion with a modernist vibe. Both the luxury tented suites and the family suites, of which there are five, mix canvas and glass to create the feeling of tents merged with lofts. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls face the river and decks feature private plunge pools. There are also six treehouse suites on a private island in the Zambezi. The accommodations, which are raised treehouses and include a private butler, are ideal for couples and honeymooners. Both camps offer daily activities such as game drives in the national park and tours of Victoria Falls.

Who Should Stay

Families with older children (ages 16 and up accepted at the Island Lodge) and couples who want a safari immersion.
