Review

This beautiful, takeover-only villa located in Monforte d'Alba, one of the most stunning and historical villages of the Langhe, sits at the very top of the hill adjacent to the village’s ancient fortified church. The villa was gut-renovated and took years to refurbish to give you the contemporary villa that stands today.

There are six bedrooms (five double bedrooms and one single) with ensuite bathrooms and a maximum total occupancy of 11 guests. It also has a kitchen (with SMEG appliances), dining room, living room, music room, garden with an outdoor saltwater pool and relaxation area with a sauna and steam room. Each bedroom is unique and refined with vintage or handmade furniture–no detail has gone unnoticed here–and all have breathtaking views of the Langhe region from high above. Each room also includes robes, pajamas, slippers and shopping bags, all handmade. There are a lot of narrow hallways and stairs in this villa, but there are two entrances so it is handicap accessible from one entrance and there is also a small elevator.

Upon arrival, the kitchen pantry is stocked with local Piedmontese delicacies. There is a wine cabinet with an excellent array of bottles on offer, and a small bar with pre-mixed cocktails (so should you choose not to have a bartender on call, you can easily enjoy a negroni!). The home embodies local culture, with memories of this special land represented in its each and every detail. There is also a notable art collection handpicked by the owner. Daily breakfast and maid service are included and Indagare can help arrange all other details for your stay. Note as well that there is a jazz festival in this village every July so it will be extra crowded and loud during this month.
