Bastible Resturaunt, South Circular Road, Wood Quay, Dublin, Ireland
Bastible is a neighborhood bistro that brought serious panache to an unglamorous corner of the city when it opened in 2015. Ever-changing menus—including a petite a la carte list with just a few options per course and the six-course prix fixe list—promise creative dishes (and a beautiful presentation). The restaurant’s name refers to the traditional cast-iron pot, used in Ireland throughout the 19th century and in Bastible’s kitchens to this day (for a delightful sourdough, served with local butter). Dessert doesn’t get short shrift here, so be sure to save room for the various mousses, sorbets or puddings on offer.
