Located in central Cabo San Lucas, Edith’s offers traditional, unpretentious Mexican cuisine—as well an alternative to the very good but quite pricey hotel restaurants—in a charming al fresco setting. Diners sit under one of the central palapas or in the garden at tables covered with bright blue and yellow tablecloths beneath lanterns hanging from the trees above. The colorful restaurant boasts an extensive menu sourced from regional produce and meat from Todos Santos farms and local seafood. Dishes range from enchiladas and fajitas made with homemade tortillas to chile poblano and freshly caught jumbo lobsters. This mixture of Baja California and Guerrero cuisine was inspired by the Mexican state where Edith Jimenez (current owner and former waiter) grew up. Excellent for both couples and families, Edith’s is a mainstay in Cabo San Lucas and worth including on any itinerary. (Edith’s sister restaurant, the Office, located right on Medano beach, is great for a post-boat-trip casual lunch with toes in the sand.)
