La Ciau del Tornavento, Piazza Leopoldo Baracco, Treiso, Province of Cuneo, Italy
Located in the small Barbaresco village of Treiso, this Michelin-starred restaurant is housed in a 1930s building that has been renovated to create a contemporary restaurant, with incredible views of the Langhe region. The cuisine is creative take on traditional Piemontese dishes. The chef and owners are often found running around to greet every table with a personal hello and to ensure each person is enjoying their food—which is reliably delicious. La Ciau del Tornvento also has the second largest wine cellar in all of Italy (second only to Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence). At the top of your meal, you can head to the cellar for a tour, including its aging room for meats and cheeses, and to enjoy Aperitivo. This restaurant has incredible energy–everyone is dining here to have a fun, big night out.
