La Mère Germaine

Located in the port town of Villefranche-sur-Mer, a short drive from Cap Ferrat, La Mère Germaine has been a culinary landmark of the French Riviera since 1938. While the classic interior has maintained its elegance for decades, guests should opt for a candlelit table outside with a view of the harbor. The service is surprisingly great and the seafood dishes are, unsurprisingly, the standouts. While expensive (prices resemble foie gras rather than fisherman’s stew), the Bouillabaisse is a must-order.
