Mikaku

Revered as one of the best Kobe beef restaurants in Kyoto, Mikaku is located on the second-floor of a building in Gion and has a small dining room centered around a grill. Patrons can watch the chefs cook the delicate beef in front of them as well as take in a view of the charming neighborhood from the glass windows behind the teppanyaki grill. While the star of the meal is the Kobe beef, lots of side dishes (grilled vegetables, miso soup, garlic chips, rice) are served along with it.
