The backdrop at celebri-chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Sand Bar is hard to beat: marked by the rock of Eden Rock, it has panoramic views of boats bobbing in the bay of St. Jean and the turquoise ocean lapping the white strand. But the food and the scene are equally impressive (this is Eden Rock, after all—and it also happens to be an Indagare Index hotel). Expect iconic dishes like watermelon gazpacho, salmon sashimi, black truffle and fontina pizza, sea scallops, coconut sticky rice, grilled lobster, all served with fresh herbs from the garden. Did we mention the rum baba cake or the banana soufflé? People-watching is guaranteed.
