Bald Mountain sun valley

Set aside some ski time on Baldy for an indulgent and leisurely lunch at The Roundhouse. Sun Valley’s founding father, Union Pacific Railroad Chairman Averell Harriman, named this octagonal structure after the railroad switch houses of the day. With outstanding 360-degree views of the mountain and surrounding area, this fine-dining culinary destination offers American-European cuisine with fondue, an exquisite wine list and some child-friendly options. A gondola delivers summer visitors or those who don’t want to ski directly to the restaurant, which is perched halfway up Baldy.
