The Village House

Aptly named, the Village House is a simple, locally owned restaurant in a small village off the beaten path. While the food is delicious, the direct views of two stupas, which are beautifully lit at night, are worth the short drive alone. The menu offers traditional Burmese food, in addition to some Chinese options. The beef potato curry is a favorite.

Indagare Tip: To avoid a noisy dinner and slow service, have your guide or hotel check to ensure that there isn’t a group booked at the restaurant that night.
