Upon opening in 2016, Tusk quickly garnered attention for its stunning, nearly all-white dining room—punctuated by green cacti and an oversized portrait of Keith Richards—and phenomenal Middle Eastern cuisine, courtesy of Joshua McFadden, the lauded chef behind Ava Gene’s. Everything here is crafted beautifully, from the shimmering dining room to the Instagram-worthy, farm-to-table dishes like hummus, Lebanese pizza, fried halloumi and barley salad with dates and hazelnuts. Don’t miss the soft-baked flatbreads, which come out piping hot from the specialty pita oven and can be garnished with spices like Aleppo chile oil and za’atar. The weekend brunch is very popular, when patrons come to feast on pastries (gooey pistachio butter cake, chocolate babka and more) and platters including the Lamama Moroccan breakfast, which comes with fruit preserves, cheese, hazelnut butter and crispy bread.
