While most of Warsaw’s top restaurants are rather traditional, Warszawa Wschodnia offers a hip alternative to the more old-school eateries, thanks to popular local chef Mateusz Gessler. Located in the up-and-coming Praga neighborhood, about 15 minutes by car from the Old Town, Warszawa Wschodnia fosters an industrial-chic aesthetic with exposed brick walls and an open kitchen and serves international cuisine (figs baked with goat cheese, grilled octopus and risotto with porcini mushrooms).
