Zum Fidelen Affen

The atmosphere at Zum Fidelen Affen is as lively as its name (which means “to the merry monkey”) and the menu, too, lives up to this standard. Fresh, regional ingredients are used to create the down-to-earth Austrian menu with a modern twist—classics like dumplings and grilled fish mix with tartare made from local brook trout and chanterelle potato soup. With a beer connoisseur on hand, guests can be assured of finding the right draft to accompany their meal (local favorite Trumer Pils comes highly recommended) and a decent wine and cocktail list is also available. When the weather allows, sit outside and enjoy the small street fountain just below the patio, but call ahead for reservations. The vaulted ceilings and cozy wooden interiors, too, provide a charming atmosphere.
