La Ferme de Joseph

Equal parts farm, shop and restaurant, La Ferme de Joseph is a modern chalet-style building perched mountainside overlooking the town of Megève. The forward-thinking owner understood visitors’ growing interest in seeing where the famed dairy of the region came from, and developed this space to sell local gourmet specialties. A small herd of cows are housed inside the contemporary structure, and can be seen (and smelled) through the glass wall of the shop, which sells beautifully packaged preserves, cheese, cured meats, liquers, yogurt and ice cream.
