Nyamirambo Women’s Center

In 2007, a group of Rwandese women came together to create the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, a Rwandan NGO, intended to address gender-based violence, gender quality and discrimination. They do so by offering free education and training to help women find jobs. At the center of this organization are Kitenge fabrics, which are made into everything from children's clothing to pouches to backpacks, and the sewing studio where the women work connects to the shop.
