Place de Lices Market

St.-Tropez’s famous Place des Lices, shaded by 100-year old plane trees, hosts one of the region’s most charming Provençal markets every Tuesday and Saturday morning. On Tuesday, it’s a classic market with locally made gourmet treats, including lavender honey and jams. On Saturday it has the added bonus of hosting a slew of antiques dealers, though you have to be early for the best finds. In the midst of food stands, you’ll also find stalls of men’s linen shirts in every color and beachy T-shirts and sarongs. Favorite finds include organic soaps, jasmine-scented pouches, beach bags and Turkish towels. The pizza truck also serves delicious Margherita slices.
