La Rinascente

Via del Tritone, 61

See Website

This iconic Milan-based department store opened a new Rome flagship in the city center in 2017. Eleven years in the making, the eight-story Rinascente, which boasts a food hall and rooftop restaurants, is a great one stop shop for fashion, beauty, design and more. Its most unique attribute, however, is the ruins that were uncovered during construction: a 200-foot-long stretch of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct, which was built in 19 BC by Augustus. The still-running waterway feeds the Trevi Fountain and can be viewed at the exhibition center on the lower level. They will ship wine and olive oil to the United States.
