Sawaya & Moroni

The brainchild of William Sawaya and Paolo Moroni, this showroom was founded in 1984 as a temple of contemporary design. It features the work of such celebrity designers as Michael Graves, Charles Jenks, Zaha Hadid and Antonio Citterio, among many others. There are sleek furniture pieces, home accessories and sterling silver, many of which showcase industrial materials and techniques. My favorite during a recent trip was a coffee set by Zaha Hadid, a true work of tabletop architecture.
