The mother-daughter team behind Senteurs d’Orient founded the soap and beauty brand in order to combine an adored daily ritual—bathing—with their desire to make a positive social impact in Lebanon. The company employs more than 150 women, and proceeds from their sales fund education in partnership with the UN Development Program. The organic soaps, which meld traditional soap-making methods with modern ones, do not contain silicones, colorants or other artificial ingredients and are perfect souvenirs from a visit to Lebanon.
