World By Hand in Tulum features handmade furniture, pillows, textiles, rugs, lamps, clothing, ceramics, jewelry and home décor. Expect to see a fun mix of paintings, sculptures, photography and decorative art from around the world—including pieces from Nepal villages and Mexico to Morocco, Haiti and India. The best part: Word By Hand ships anywhere (and also has an outpost in Mérida). CEO and founder Francia Rábago founded the store to promote cultural diversity, heritage and sustainability through handcrafts. She and her mom also opened Vivo Tulum, a vegan café next door to the shop, as well as a yoga studio, Vivo Dome.
