Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Emmy’s desire to travel was fed by a passion for the environment, an interest in food and friends from around the world. Her first trip outside the United States was to Zambia, followed by a semester of college in Germany a few months later. She graduated college with a bachelor's degree in business and worked for six years in event management, traveling to places like Napa County, Puglia and Los Cabos. She loves exploring the natural world, from canoeing through Minnesota's boundary waters to hiking national parks. When she is not traveling, Emmy coaches lacrosse and volunteers with various environmental groups in the Milwaukee area.
