Tuludi Camp Review
Opened in July 2019, Tuludi brings a fresh take on safari camps to the Okavango Delta. The property is located on over 400,000 acres in the Khwai Private Reserve, an area that offers amazing game viewing experiences. Along with wide-open seasonal floodplains, there are also permanent water sources, including a waterhole where guests can spot wildlife from the lodge.
Tuludi’s seven tents are connected by a series of raised wooden walkways on either side of the main lodge. The chic and cool aesthetic showcases bright and contemporary interiors from designer Tracy Kelly that compliment the surrounding landscape. The colorful birds painted on the beautifully designed bar and the slide leading from the raised library to the dining area adds a level of playfulness to the décor that makes it unfussy and cozy. Rooms are large and bright, with high canvas roofs, decks with a private plunge pool and indoor and outdoor bathrooms with a tub and shower. There is also one family tent that works great for families–children six and above are welcomed to the lodge. While there is Wi-Fi in the main area of the lodge, you are without internet while in the rooms, which allows you to truly escape after a long and exciting day out on safari.
There is an unheated pool on property and plenty of communal outdoor space to lounge. Along with game drives, guests can enjoy a mokoro (canoe) experience (pending water levels), a real treat for birdwatchers!
