When Sir Terence Conran and Paul Hamlyn first opened Bibendum in 1987, with chef Simon Hopkinson in the kitchen, it redefined modern British luxury and revolutionized London’s dining scene. Then, after a comprehensive shake-up behind closed doors, this South Kensington Art Deco icon reopened with chef Claude Bosi (who held two Michelin stars at Soho’s Hibiscus) at the helm. The menu retains its French flavor, with classics like soufflés and cheese boards, while also serving up updated takes on British fare from turbot to halibut.
