Piazzetta Reale

Also called the Royal Palace of Turin, this historic palace has been refurbished, renovated and enhanced many times since it came into possession of the Savoy family in 1563. A grand staircase and elaborate rooms await, with carved and gilded ceilings, engaged marble columns topped with gold, dazzling chandeliers and allegorical canvases and frescos occupying every spare space. Now said to display the life and works of the House of Savoy, the palace is home to an extensive collection of tapestries and Chinese and Japanese vases and also houses the Royal Armoury and The Chapel of the Holy Shroud, the resting place of the Shroud of Turin.

Serralunga d’Alba

A nice small village with the Castle of Serralunga d’Alba and an old chapel called San Sebastiano Church.

Torre di Barbaresco

The tower at the top of Barbaresco, built in the late sixth century, is a great spot for beautiful views and Aperitivo during the high season.

This is a must-do activity. Go out with a truffle hunter and his dog on a real hunt for one of the most incredible and special gastronomic experiences. These hunts usually last one and a half to two hours.

Here you can see the Shroud of Turin, a linen cloth believed to bear the visage of Jesus. You can walk to the top of the tower for nice views of the city; however, this is a very simple Duomo compared to other major cathedrals in Italy.
